Year 1 phonics screening
In 2015-2016 100% pupils achieved or exceeded the required standard in phonics at Year 1
In 2016-2017 60% of pupils achieved or exceeded the required standard in phonics in Year 1
Key Stage 2
Year 6 pupils achieved the following results:
The percentage of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading, writing and maths combined was 33%. The Lancashire average was 60% and the England average was 61% No pupils achieved the high level of attainment in reading, writing or maths.
Pupils made -2.99 points progress in reading from Key Stage 1 to Key stage 2.
Pupils made -3.45 points progress in writing from key stage 1 to key stage2
Pupils made 0.9 points progress in maths from key stage 1 to key stage 2.
These results are in line with the national average as shown in the table below.
The average score in the reading test was 99.4. The Lancashire average score of 103.8 and the England average of 104.1
